Special Guests

Over the years, Woody has welcomed several International players to W7s to allow the girls to meet their idols, be coached by them and to grab signatures and photos with them.

In 2025 England will host the Women's World Cup, a cup that was last won by England in 2014 and Woody felt that the theme of World Cup was important.

So this season we will be joined by not 1 but 2 of that World Cup Winning squad, Laura Keates and Kat Merchant.

This former Worcester player was capped 58 times and scored 44 try's over a 9 year period for England. During that time she attended two world cup finals, as a runner up in 2010 and world champions in 2014. She was on the winning side of six '6 Nation' championships and competed in two Sevens world cup competitions and the Women's Seven's World Series.

Since retiring from Rugby in 2015, she has shifted her focus fully to helping people accomplish incredible weight loss transformations.

Her passion for fitness and strength can be seen on any of her social media platforms, where she empowers others with her body positivity.

Laura made her Red Roses debut in 2011 and picked up a Rugby World Cup winner’s medal in France three years later, coming off the bench in the second half of the final victory against Canada.

She has been a very loyal servant to Worcester Warriors, who she joined in 2005, until they were pulled out of the PWR by their owner for the 2023/2024 season.

She was participating in the postponed 2021 edition of the World Cup when she suffered an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury while training in New Zealand.

Even with this set back, in 2024 she was signed by midland's Loughborough Lightening as they looked to add experience and strength to their front row. In 2024 she was also called up by John Mitchell to the Red Roses training squad.
