What Time Can We Get on Site?
Gates will open at 15:00.
Everyone needs to be wearing their wristbands and displaying their vehicle passes on arrival. Please note that vehicles checks will be undertaken on arrival, anyone with prohibited items will have them confiscated until 12:00 on the Monday of the event. Any items not claimed by then will be disposed of by W7s.
What is XRugby 7s?
X7s is a modified form of rugby, also known as XRugby, designed for easier accessibility and participation, especially for beginners and social players. It's played on a smaller pitch with fewer players, and the rules are adapted to be more inclusive and engaging.
We chose X7s because of it’s accessibility, club’s with smaller squads can attend, smaller pitches allows all levels of fitness etc to engage whilst allowing players to still show off their rugby skills.
How many players can I bring?
You must be able to field 12 players
You can have a squad of 15 players
If you have less than 15 players than you will be expected to accept any additional players assigned to your squad by Woody
If you have more than 15 players then you will need to either book another side entry or donate the additional players to another side
Will there be security?
We bring on site a company to provide trained staff, who will check passes, complete site walks and be a point of contact throughout the night. This is to compliment the provisions made by yourself, as recommended in the RFU's overnight guidance pack.
Will there be first aid on site?
Throughout the games we will have a company providing medical assessment and treatment from paramedics and responders.
However EVERY side is to have a nominated first aider to manage all players and their injuries.
What shower and toilet facilities are there?
One of the benefits of the site is that it has 2 purpose built shower and toilet buildings, one for each gender. Within them you will find single shower cubicles and toilets and we hire on luxury shower trailers. This is also in addition to the toilets within Woody's clubhouse.
Are there things that we can't bring?
A full list can be found within our T&Cs but here are a short list to get you startes:
- Alcohol
- Generators
- Camping gas canisters or barbecues - This includes electrical barbecues and heaters
- Nitrous oxide and associated equipment
- Smoke canisters
- Fireworks, flares or any other pyrotechnics
Can I Bring Food and Drink?
You are more than welcome to bring food that doesn’t require cooking.
Soft drinks are permitted however they MUST be sealed when entering. If they are not sealed, the items will be confiscated by security upon entry.
Does The Campsite Have Electricity?
The campsite does NOT have electricity, nor does it have a chemical waist point for those bringing a campervan or caravan.
Cash or Card?
Due to the campsite being in a small village internet signal can be somewhat of a problem, so we recommend to have both cash and card available.
