Woody knows that building a girls section is difficult but it helps having a stream of players coming through the age groups. It is therefore important to have a good sized U12s but how do you enthuse girls to get involved and give rugby a try?
Socials are a great recruitment tool, as is being visible on social media, but you can’t beat a good rugby tour. Touring is a long standing tradition for rugby and most of the ex-players around your club will be able to tell you tale after tale about their past tours.
For small clubs, or clubs starting out on their girls journey, touring and socials are not easy due to low number but Scrumchic and Woody want to help grow the female side of our sport and to do that they are offering girls a chance to win the following as they look to build a barbarians team:
1 U12 player ticket
1 Adult spectator ticket
1 Vehicle Pass
1 Match shirt
So if you are a parent of an U12 girl or a coach or age group manager of an U12s side then we would like to invite you to enter our barbarians competition to win them a FREE tour. We are looking for 15 players to join our team and all you have to do to be in with a chance of joining us is:

Some of the T&Cs to consider before entering – full T&Cs can be found on the main page.
1 – The player’s club is aware of the entry and agrees to sign off on the player touring to W7s
2 – The head coach is over the age of 18 years old or someone over the age of 18 will be responsible for the child/children
3 – The head coach or the club confirms that all tour documents will be completed by no later than Friday 27th February 2026 – as per the guidance set out by the RFU
4 – Additional tickets can be purchased by no later than Friday 27th February 2026
